Nutella (pronounced “new-tell-uh”) is a tasty, unique spread made from the combination of roasted hazelnuts, skim milk and a hint of cocoa. Nutella has no artificial colors or preservatives.
Our chef’s have created unique, homemade items to celebrate World Nutella Day. Nutella is one of Italy’s most cherished items for adults and children. Tony and Giovanna grew up on Nutella and Gio was one of the first Lehigh Valley restaurants to incorporate Nutella on its menu over 8 years ago.

What is Nutella and What Is World Nutella Day?
Nutella spread was created in Italy in the 1940s by Mr. Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker and founder of the Ferrero company. At the time, cocoa was in short supply due to World War II rationing so there was very little chocolate. Mr. Ferrero used hazelnuts, which were plentiful in the Piedmont region of Italy where he lived, to extend the chocolate supply. Nutella was born. In 1983, it made its first US appearance.

www.nutelladay.com was created in 2007 by Sara Rosso, an American writer living in Italy. On this day, lovers of Nutella the world over get creative and celebrate with the chocolaty-hazelnut spread.
